Can I add more salary heads in the existing salary structure?

I want to add more salary heads in the salary structure. Need help.

It is very simple to edit or add a new salary head in the salary structure. However, the default salary structure cannot be edited since it automatically includes all active salary heads.

  1. Go to Product configurations and click Configure payroll under Payroll settings.
  2. Click Payroll variables and go to Salary/ Earnings under Variable type. You will see Active and Inactive variables.
  3. If the required salary head is not showing under Active variables, click on Inactive and select the required salary head.
  4. Specify the rules for this new salary head. Select the relevant checkboxes to make it taxable and non-taxable, eligible for ESIC, PF and PT.
  5. Click Update. The newly added salary head will show in the salary structure.

Note: This functionality is available in the Empxtrack enterprise edition.
