How will employees know when their appraisal is initiated?

I am initiating appraisal for my 3 employees. But I am wondering how they would get to know about appraisal initiation?

Employees will receive a notification in the empxtrack application (message center) as well as an email on their registered email id. This will intimate them about appraisal initiation and urge them to complete their self appraisal, depending upon the workflow selected by you while appraisal initiation.

If you choose to involve employees in the appraisal process (for their self evaluation), then the notification will go to them.
