How does my workspace change based on my role?

I have multiple roles assigned to me. What changes when I select a different workspace?

Each workspace gives you access to the menus, information, and actions available for the selected role.

For example, the Employee workspace provides access to your own information, while the Manager and HR Manager workspaces provide access to employee and HR functions based on your role and authorization span.
