Generating pay periods refers to the process of defining the time intervals for which employees will be paid. A pay period or pay cycle is a recurring timeframe during which employees' work hours are tracked, and wages or salaries are calculated and disbursed.
To generate pay period for the first time in Empxtrack, follow the steps:
On the Dashboards Homepage, go to Payroll widget and click Generate pay periods. By default, pay periods are not defined for the selected financial year so you need to define it.
Manage pay periods page appears. Select the financial period and mark it current.
Specify the start date for the Pay Period by using calendar control.
Click generate pay periods.
Click OK on the confirmation message and pay periods are generated successfully. Click Edit if you want to change the pay cycle as per your company rules.
