Professional tax is levied by the state government, hence it is deducted for employees depending upon the state they live in.
When the employee profile is created in Empxtrack, it is important to carefully specify the state. The tax will get deducted from the employee’s salary only if the professional tax is applicable on the specified state in their profile.
